Pacoima, California (November 2, 2019)
– A pedestrian died
after being struck by a Metrolink train in Pacoima on Friday night, according
to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident
happened near the intersection of Paxton Street and San Fernando Road at about
5:40 p.m. November 1.
The
authorities said a pedestrian was walking at the Pacoima crossing of the
Antelope Valley line when he was hit by a southbound Train 224.
The
pedestrian was killed in the accident.
The identity
of the victim was not disclosed.
Train service
along the line was suspended for more than four hours as the authorities
examined the scene.
No further
information was provided.
An
investigation into the accident is ongoing.
