Nice, California (November 1, 2019) – 48-year-old David Jones has been identified as the man who was
injured in a fatal car accident in Nice on Tuesday afternoon.
The accident was reported at about 3:18 p.m.
October 29, on Highway 20 near Manzanita Drive, according to the California
As per the report, a 66-year-old Oakley man
was driving a 2002 Ford van eastbound on the roadway when he drifted into the
westbound lanes for unknown reasons and collided head-on with a 2008 Peterbilt
driven by Jones.
The van driver was killed in the accident. The
identity of the deceased was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Jones, a resident of Ukiah, was transported to
Sutter Lakeside Hospital with unspecified injuries.
No further information was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
