Link Colvard Killed in Chico Pedestrian Accident at Main Street and East 9th Street

Chico, California (October 30, 2019) – A man who was hit and killed by a vehicle on Saturday morning in Chico has been identified as 35-year-old Link Colvard.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal accident occurred at about 7:00 a.m. October 26, near the intersection of Main Street and East 9th Street.

Colvard reportedly walking near the intersection when he was struck by a vehicle for unknown reasons.

Colvard was rushed to Enloe Medical Center in critical condition. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.

East 9th Street between Main Street and Wall Street was closed for about four hours as authorities examined the scene.

Officials said alcohol and drugs were not factors in the crash.

No additional details regarding the accident were provided.

The accident is under investigation.
