Nice, California (October 31, 2019) – One person was killed and another injured in a head-on
collision on Tuesday afternoon in Nice, Lake County.
The accident was reported at about 3:15 p.m.
October 29, on Highway 20 near Dollar General.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a
semi-truck was traveling westbound on Highway 20 when it collided head-on with
a white Ford Cargo for unknown reasons.
The semi-truck then continued traveling
westbound and crashed into a parked van. The impact of the collision pushed the
parked van into the side of a nearby shop.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and pronounced
the van driver dead.

The identities of the victims were not
disclosed pending notification of next-of-kin.
No further information was provided.
An investigation to determine the cause of the
accident is ongoing.
