George Stryker Struck, Killed by Vehicle at MacArthur Boulevard and San Miguel Drive in Newport Beach


Newport Beach, California (October 29, 2019) – The Orange County coroner’s office has identified the pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle on Saturday evening in Newport Beach.

The accident was reported at about 6:15 p.m. October 26, in the area of MacArthur Boulevard and San Miguel Drive.

According to the California Highway Patrol, George Stryker, 87, was crossing the street at the intersection when a vehicle struck him.

The paramedics responded at the scene, but Stryker died before being transported to the hospital.

No additional details concerning the accident were provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
