Whittier, California (October 29, 2019) – A woman and a 10-year-old boy were injured after being struck by a car in Whittier on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian accident happened on Workman Mill Road at Mission Mill Road at about 12:50 p.m.

As per the report, a car had been traveling westbound on Mission Mill Road when it struck the boy and the woman who were crossing the street.

The two pedestrians were rushed to PIH Health Hospital with unspecified injuries.

The motorist was not arrested.               

No further information was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
