San Diego, California (October 29, 2019) – A woman was injured in a pedestrian accident in San Diego on Monday morning, October 28.

The accident happened at about 11:45 a.m. on 54th Street near Nutmeg Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.

As per the report, a 26-year-old woman was crossing the street when she was hit by a Lexus driven by a 36-year-old woman.

The woman sustained major injuries including multiple fractures and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

The driver of the Lexus was unhurt. She remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

 No further information was provided.

An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is underway.
