Man Killed in Bakersfield Pedestrian Accident on 12th Avenue near Elder Avenue


Hanford, California (October 28, 2019) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident early Monday morning in Hanford.

According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 12:30 a.m. on 12th Avenue near Elder Avenue.

A 45-year-old man was standing within the traffic lanes when he was hit by a passing Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 50-year-old man from Hanford.

The pedestrian is reported to have sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The identity of the man was withheld pending notification of next of kin.

An investigation into the fatal pedestrian accident is ongoing.
