Bakersfield, California (October 28, 2019) – A man who was killed in a car accident last week Tuesday in Bakersfield has been identified as 29-year-old Frank Sanchez.

The California Highway Patrol said the accident happened on Highway 99 near Palm Street.

As per the report, a 2018 Honda was traveling on the roadway when it veered off the roadway and onto the left shoulder.

The driver turned to get back on the roadway and was struck by a passing car.

Sanchez who was a passenger in the Honda was killed in the accident.

The conditions of the drivers of the involved car were not immediately established.

An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is underway.
