2 LAPD Officers Injured in Sherman Oaks Car Accident at Hazeltine Avenue and Ventura Boulevard


Sherman Oaks, California (October 28, 2019) – According to the California Highway Patrol, two Los Angeles Police Department officers were injured in a traffic collision in Sherman Oaks on Sunday, October 27.

The accident happened at the intersection of Hazeltine Avenue and Ventura Boulevard.

A drunk driver was reportedly traveling on the roadway when it crashed into the rear of an LAPD patrol car occupied by two officers.

As per the CHP report, both officers sustained unspecified injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The unidentified driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

No further information was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
