1 Killed in Murrieta Car Accident on 215 Freeway at Los Alamos Road


Murrieta, California (October 28, 2019) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal multi-vehicle collision that happened on Monday morning in Murrieta.

The accident happened in the southbound lanes of Interstate 215 Freeway near Los Alamos Road at about 5:54 a.m.

According to the CHP, a bus and two other vehicles were involved in the crash.

One of the cars reportedly caught fire after the collision. Responding crews found the car fully engulfed by flames in the No. 2 lane, while the bus was blocking the No. 1 lane.

The authorities said one person was killed in the collision. The deceased was not immediately identified.

No other information regarding the crash was provided.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
