1 Injured in Silver Lake Bicycle Accident on Berkeley Avenue


Los Angeles, California (October 26, 2019) – A bicyclist sustained serious injuries after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Silver Lake, Los Angeles, on Friday.

According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 11:45 p.m. October 25, in the 3000 block of Berkeley Avenue.

The CHP said a bicyclist was riding in the area when he was hit by a car.

The unidentified cyclist sustained serious injuries in the accident and was transported to a local hospital for treatment where he was listed in stable condition.

The Los Angeles Police Department said the motorist fled the scene and is yet to be located. The involved car was described as an early-model Mini Cooper, red with a white roof.

No further information was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
