McKinleyville, California (October 24, 2019) – A girl was injured in a suspected hit-and-run pedestrian accident as she rode on a skateboard at an intersection in McKinleyville on Wednesday morning.
According to a local news source, the accident happened shortly before 8 a.m. October 23, at the intersection of Winchester Avenue and McKinleyville Avenue.
The girl was reportedly crossing a street at the intersection when she was struck by a white four-door sedan that was traveling westbound.
The girl is reported to have sustained minor injuries in the collision.
The motorist did not stop at the scene and was yet to be located. The suspected was described as a white female in her 30s, with blond hair in a ponytail.
No further information was provided.
The CHP Humboldt Area Office is investigating the accident.
