Hemet, California (October 24, 2019) – A woman was seriously injured in a pedestrian accident that occurred in Hemet earlier this month.

According to a local news source, the fatal collision occurred at about on Florida Avenue near Yale Street at an unspecified time on the morning of October 8.

The authorities said a woman was running across Florida Avenue when she was struck by a four-door sedan.

The unidentified woman sustained major injuries in the collision and was transported to a local trauma center for treatment.

The motorist reportedly fled the scene after the accident and was yet to be located.

The police said the involved vehicle was likely a 2004-2007 Chevrolet Malibu.
