Girl Killed, 3 Injured in Car Crash on Oakley Lane at Highway 65 in Wheatland, Yuba County

Wheatland, California (October 24, 2019) – A 17-year-old girl was killed in a car accident in Wheatland on Wednesday morning.

According to a local news source, the accident happened at about 3 p.m. on Oakley Lane at Highway 65.

The Plumas Lake girl was reportedly driving a Honda Civic on the roadway and was turning onto Highway 65 when she was hit by a 2017 Hyundai.

The unidentified girl is reported to have later succumbed to her injuries.

A 25-year-old man and two young boys ages 3 and 8, who were passengers in the Hyundai, were hospitalized with moderate injuries.

Drugs and alcohol were not believed to be factors in the collision.

No further information concerning the accident was provided.

The authorities are investigating the cause of the deadly collision.
