Man Killed in Bicycle Accident on Cherry Avenue near East North Avenue


Fresno, California (October 23, 2019) – A bicyclist died after being struck by a car in Fresno on Tuesday night.

According to a local news source, the fatal bicycle accident happened at about 9:06 p.m. October 22, in 3300 block of Cherry Avenue near East North Avenue.

As per the report, 31-year-old Korina Machuca was driving a car northbound on the roadway when she struck a man on a bicycle.

The car is reported to have crashed into a fence after striking the bicyclist.

The unidentified bicyclist was killed in the collision.

Machuca was later arrested on suspicion of DUI.

No further information was provided.

An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is underway.
