Sacramento, California (October 22, 2019) – A 12-year-old girl was seriously injured after being hit by a car as she rode a bicycle near an intersection in Sacramento on Tuesday morning.

According to a local news source, the bicycle accident occurred at about 7:40 a.m. October 22, in the area of Mead and Sutterville roads.

The girl was reportedly riding a bicycle near the intersection when she was hit by a car driven a 17-year-old boy.

The unidentified girl sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a local hospital for treatment.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
