California (October 23, 2019) – The California Highway Patrol is
investigating a fatal collision involving a big rig that occurred on Tuesday
night in central Bakersfield.
As per a report by the authorities, the deadly accident
happened shortly before 10:50 p.m. on Highway 99 at the transition road to
eastbound Highway 58.
The crash involved a semi-truck and a box truck.
Police said the circumstances in which the crash occurred
were not immediately determined.
However, one person died in the collision.
Two southbound lanes of Highway 99 were closed as the police
cleared the scene.
No other details regarding the accident were available.
The crash is under investigation.
