Ramon Gutierrez ID’d as Man Killed in Pico Rivera Pedestrian Accident at Rex Road and Paramount Boulevard


Pico Rivera, California (October 21, 2019) – Ramon Alberto Gutierrez, 41, has been identified as the man who died after being hit by an Amtrak train on Friday morning in Pico Rivera, Los Angeles.

According to a local news report, the pedestrian accident happened at about 8:55 a.m. October 18, at the intersection of Rex Road and Paramount Boulevard.

As per the report, Gutierrez was walking along the tracks with his back to an oncoming train.

The Amtrak Pacific Surfliner train 763, which was on its way to San Luis Obispo from San Diego, struck Gutierrez.

Gutierrez was declared dead at the scene.

No one on the train was injured during the incident.

The crash remains under investigation.
