Man Killed in Stockton Pedestrian Accident on BNSF Railway Tracks near South Lincoln Street


Stockton, California (October 20, 2019) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a train in Stockton on Sunday morning, according to a local news report.

A man was walking on the BNSF Railway tracks near South Lincoln Street at about 9:34 a.m. when he was hit by a train.

The paramedics who were called to the scene pronounced the man dead at the scene.

The San Joaquin County Coroner’s Office withheld the identity of the pedestrian pending notification of next of kin.

It is unknown if anyone on board the train was injured.

No further information was provided.         

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
