Los Angeles, California (October 21, 2019) – A pedestrian who died after being struck by a car in West Los Angeles on Wednesday morning has been identified.
The fatal pedestrian accident happened in the area of Pico and Sepulveda boulevards at about 6:20 a.m. October 16.
According to a local news source, 43-year-old Efrain Espinoza was walking in the area when he was hit by a truck.
Espinoza, a resident of Los Angeles, was killed in the collision.
The motorist is reported to have fled after hitting the pedestrian.
A suspect was later arrested and taken into custody.
No further information was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
