Riverside, California (October 20, 2019) – A 4-year-old child was seriously injured in a collision that several other people injured on Main Street near Garner Road in Riverside on Saturday night, October 19.

At about 10:42 p.m., a 38-year-old Riverside woman was driving a Dodge van southbound on Main Street when her vehicle veered into the opposite lanes and collided with a passing Chevrolet Tahoe driven by a 49-year-old Pomona woman.

Multiple people are reported to have sustained injuries in the collision and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

A 4-year-old child who was riding in the back of the Dodge van is reported to have sustained serious brain injury.

No further information was provided.

An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is underway.
