Victorville, California (October 18, 2019) – A man was killed in a traffic collision involving a big rig in Victorville on Thursday night, October 17.
According to a local news source, the accident happened on 15 Freeway near Dale Evans Parkway just before midnight.
A man was reportedly driving a 2020 Freightliner southbound on the freeway when he failed to slow down for traffic and rear-ended a 1999 Toyota 4Runner.
The impact of the collision pushed the Toyota crashing into the rear of a big rig ahead of it.
The driver of the Toyota, identified only as a 30-year-old Long Beach man, was killed in the collision.
The conditions of the truck drivers were not immediately disclosed.
The crash shut down all the southbound lanes of the freeway as the authorities worked the scene.
