Rider Seriously Injured in Escondido Motorcycle Accident on Washington Avenue


Escondido, California (October 17, 2019) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after being struck by a car in Escondido on Wednesday afternoon.

According to a local news source, the accident happened in the 200 block of Washington Avenue at about 4:38 p.m. October 16.

As per the report, a white Volkswagen Jetta was traveling eastbound on the roadway when she collided with a motorcycle for unknown reasons.

The impact of the collision caused the motorcycle to crash into a white Ford F-250 pickup that was stopped, waiting to turn into a parking lot.

The motorcyclist was injured in the collision and was transported to Palomar Medical Center in critical condition.

The identity of the rider was not immediately disclosed.

No further information was provided.

An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is ongoing.
