Merced, California (October 15, 2019) – A motorcyclist who was seriously injured following a collision with a car in Merced on Sunday, October 13, has been identified.
According to a local news source, the accident happened at about 9:48 p.m. on 5 Freeway near Laguna Seca Creek overcrossing.
43-year-old Steven Lee Taylor Sr. was riding a black Kawasaki Ninja when he collided with a black 2007 Nissan Versa.
Taylor, a resident of Folsom, was ejected from the motorcycle after the collision.
The rider is reported to have sustained serious injuries and was flown to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.
The driver of the Nissan, 34-year-old Julie Ann Brown, sustained minor injuries and was transported to Los Banos Memorial Hospital for treatment.
No further information was provided.
An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is underway.
