Man Killed in San Jose Pedestrian Accident Involving Light-Rail Train at Bascom Station in San Jose


San Jose, California (October 15, 2019) – A man died after being struck by a light-rail train in San Jose on Tuesday afternoon, according to a local news source.

The fatal collision was reported at about 3:20 p.m. October 15, at the Bascom Station in the 2051 block of Southwest Expressway.

The authorities said the man was walking in the area when he was hit by a northbound Winchester-Mountain View train.

Paramedics responded to the incident and rendered to the pedestrian before he was transported to a local hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.

The man was not publicly identified.
