On Monday, a man walked into a California police department and told police officers he had killed four people. One of the bodies was in the man’s car, which he drove to the Mt. Shasta Police Department.
The suspect told police three other bodies were in his apartment more than 200 miles away, according to Roseville Police Department Captain Josh Simon. Roseville is about 20 miles from Sacramento and about 212 miles from Mt. Shasta.
Roseville officers were informed about the man’s confession at about noon when they received a call from Mt. Shasta police.
The suspect was detained by Shasta police officers.
Police said they do not believe the homicide was a random act. The suspect and the victims likely knew each other.
The identities of the victims and the suspect were not released.
An investigating into the incident was commenced.
