Ana Lovins Killed in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Olivero Road near Jim Way in Modesto


Modesto, California (October 15, 2019) – A 48-year-old woman surrendered to the police in connection with a fatal pedestrian accident that killed a 40-year-old woman on Saturday, October 5.

The fatal pedestrian accident happened on Olivero Road near Jim Way at about 10:20 p.m.

According to a local news source, Consuelo Aguilar was driving a GMC Yukon on the roadway when she struck 40-year-old Ana Lovins.

Lovins was seriously injured in the collision and was transported to a trauma center where she died a few days later.

Aguilar did not stop at the scene after the accident but has since turned herself into the police.

No further information was provided.      

The authorities are investigating the accident.
