North County, California (October 15, 2019) – According to a local
news source, at least one person was killed in a car accident involving a big
rig that occurred in North County on Monday morning.

5:00 a.m. October 14, in the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 Freeway near Las
As per the report, a sedan was stopped
on the freeway when it was struck by a big rig. The impact of the collision caused
the sedan to be pinned to the center divider where it caught fire.
Officials of the fire department
responded to the incident and extinguished the flames.
An occupant of the sedan was killed
in the crash.
The identity of the deceased was
not immediately disclosed.
The collision resulted in a temporary
closure of the freeway as the authorities worked the scene.
