Garden Grove, California (October 13, 2019) – A man and a child were killed in a pedestrian accident in Garden Grove on Saturday night.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision occurred at about 9:20 p.m. October 12, in the area of Garden Grove Boulevard and Nelson Street.

The man and the child were walking in the area when they were hit by a car.

The two pedestrians were pronounced dead at the scene.

The victims were not publicly identified.

Information about the motorist was not immediately provided.

The accident resulted in the temporary closure of Garden Grove Boulevard between Nelson Street and Nutwood Street.

The authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
