Covina, California (October 13, 2019) – A man and a woman were killed in a collision
involving a carjacking suspect in West Covina early Saturday morning.
According to a local news source, the deadly collision occurred at
Cameron and Glendora avenues at about 2 a.m. October 12.
55-year-old Edward Louie Contreras, 53-year-old Gracie Contreras and a
child were traveling in their car when they were struck by a stolen 2010 Jeep
Patriot driven by a fleeing carjacking suspect.
The impact of the collision ejected Edward and Gracie from their car.
Edward Contreras was pronounced dead at the scene. Gracie Contreras was rushed
to a local hospital where she died a short time later.

The unidentified suspect was also hospitalized before being booked into
