California (October 11, 2019) – The authorities have disclosed the identity
of a pedestrian who died after being struck by a car in Sacramento last week
Saturday, October 5.
According to a local
news source, the accident happened at about 3:35 a.m. in the area of X Street
and 23rd Street.
The authorities said 42-year-old Lovance Johnson was walking
near the intersection when he was hit by a vehicle.
Johnson sustained major injuries and was rushed to a local
hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.
The involve vehicle is reported to have fled the scene after
hitting the pedestrian and was yet to be located.
No further information was provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
