Major injuries Reported in Pedestrian Accident at Highway 101 and Indian Road in Smith River


Smith River, California (October 11, 2019) – A pedestrian suffered severe injuries after being struck by a car on Wednesday evening in Smith River, the police said.

As per the report, the collision happened at around 7:36 p.m. October 9, in the area of Highway 101 and Indian Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a pedestrian was walking in the area when he was struck by a Jeep Grand Cherokee for unknown reasons.

The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was attended to by the paramedics before being taken to the hospital for treatment.

The information concerning the identity of the victim and the current condition was not provided.

Police are investigating to establish the cause of the accident.
