Man Killed in San Diego Bicycle Accident on Beyer Boulevard


San Diego, California (October 10, 2019) – An elderly cyclist died after he was struck by a vehicle in Otay Mesa, San Diego, on Wednesday morning, October 9.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the accident was reported shortly before noon on Beyer Boulevard.

As per the report, a 67-year-old man was riding a bicycle in the northbound lane of the highway when a Toyota Tacoma Pickup struck him from behind.

The unidentified bicyclist suffered severe injuries to his head and was rushed to the hospital by ambulance.

The 40-year-old driver stopped and cooperated with the authorities.

No other information was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
