Five family members were found dead early Monday morning in their home in Massachusetts, authorities said.
The deceased have since been identified as Deirdre Zaccardi, 40, Joseph Zaccardi, 43, Alexis Zaccardi, 11, and twins Nathaniel and Kathryn Zaccardi, 9.
At around 7:30 a.m., Abington police received a 911 call from a family member who had showed up to take the children to school, reporting that someone inside the residence needed immediate medical attention.
Police responded to the Condo on Centre Avenue and discovered the body of Deirdre first, then the other four.
Authorities said they have little information regarding the incident, but it appears that the deaths were a result of “gunshot wounds.”
According to Police Chief David Majenski, there was no history of domestic abuse, and they do not believe there is any active threat to the public.
Police are investigating the incident.
