Clovis, California (October 6, 2019) – A man who was injured in a motorcycle accident in Clovis on Saturday morning, October 5, has been identified.

The fatal motorcycle accident happened at about 12:05 a.m. on Ashlan Avenue near Highland Avenue, according to a local news source.

The authorities said 32-year-old Youa Xiong was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle eastbound on the roadway in front of a Suzuki motorcycle operated by 34-year-old John Moua.

Xiong veered off the roadway for unknown reasons and crashed with the impact ejecting her onto the roadway where she was hit by a Toyota Camry driven by 57-year-old Abir Ballat.

Moua also crashed as he attempted to avoid striking Xiong.

Xiong was killed in the crash.        

Moua was hospitalized with moderate injuries.

The driver of the car remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

No further information was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
