North Hollywood, California (October 2, 2019) – The authorities have identified the 33-year-old man who was fatally struck by a Metrolink train on Monday afternoon in North Hollywood.
The fatal accident happened at about 1:15 p.m. September 30, in the 11000 block of West Vanowen Street, according to a report by the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Jorge Jimenez was reportedly walking in the area when he was hit by Ventura County Line 109 train that was bound for Moorpark.
Jimenez, a resident of North Hollywood, was killed in the collision.
The train was stopped between the Burbank Airport-South and Van Nuys stations as officers conducted investigations.
No additional information was provided.
The incident remains under investigation.
