San Andreas, California (September 30, 2019) – The authorities have disclosed the identity of a Sheriff’s deputy who was injured in a suspected DUI car accident in San Andreas on Saturday, September 28.
The accident happened on Highway 4 at about 10 p.m.
Officer Lance Williams was driving his patrol car on the roadway when a westbound car driven by John Ueda crossed into his lane for unknown reasons and struck him.
Williams was injured in the crash and was transported to Mark Twain Medical Center for treatment.
Ueda was arrested on suspicion of DUI and booked into Calaveras County Jail.
No further information was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
