Norwalk, California (September 29, 2019) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident as he helped a stalled teenage driver in Cerritos early Sunday morning.
According to a local news source, the fatal collision occurred at about 12:10 a.m. on 91 Freeway near Bloomfield Avenue.
34-year-old Miguel Gutierrez Fabian is reported to have stopped at the scene to assist a driver who had run out of gas when he was struck by a passing work truck.
Fabian, a resident of Norwalk, died at the scene of the accident.
No injuries were reported in the collision.
The truck is reported to have fled the scene after hitting the pedestrian.
