Smith River, California (September 27, 2019) – The authorities have disclosed the identities of three people who were injured in a car accident in Smith River on Wednesday, September 25.

The collision was reported at about 2 a.m. on Highway 101 near Crissey Road.

According to a local news source, a Toyota Rav4 driven by 60-year-old Kristin Scott had been traveling northbound on the roadway when it veered into the southbound lanes and collided head-on with a 2004 Lexus driven by 73-year-old Carol Woodley.

Both Woodley and Scott are reported to have sustained serious injuries and were transported to Sutter Coast Hospital for treatment.

A passenger in the Lexus, 63-year-old James Woodley, was also transported to the hospital in unknown condition.

Both vehicles were blocking the roadway before they were towed away.
