Fresno, California (September 25, 2019) – The authorities have disclosed the identity of a 56-year-old man who was killed in a car accident at an intersection in Fresno on Wednesday morning.
The fatal car accident happened at about 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of Belmont Avenue and Newmark Avenue.
56-year-old Bruce Jonson was a passenger in a Ford pickup truck driven by 34-year-old Charles S. Williams of Orange Cove.
The pickup truck was traveling westbound and was approaching the intersection when it collided with a Chevrolet Silverado driven by Cristal O. Aviles, 27, of Kerman.
The Chevrolet continued eastbound after the collision and collided with a 2016 Hyundai driven by Dyane Shadowens, 45, of Sanger.
Johnson, a resident of Sanger, was killed in the collision.
Williams was rushed to a local hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
Shadowens and Aviles reportedly sustained minor injuries.
No further information was provided.
The authorities are investigating the cause of the tragic accident.
