Sacramento, California (September 25, 2019) – A man was injured in a traffic collision involving a car that was traveling the wrong-way in Sacramento on Monday morning.
According to a local news source, the accident happened at about 12:20 a.m. on Highway 50 near Harbor Boulevard.
The authorities said 25-year-old Brett Austin Walter was driving a Subaru Crosstrek eastbound on the roadway when he collided head-on with a Toyota pickup truck driven by Justin Miller, 29, of San Ramon.
The paramedics who responded to the incident had to extricate Walter, who was trapped in one of the cars.
Walter and Miller were transported to UC Davis Medical Center in unknown conditions.
Walter was later arrested on suspicion of DUI.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
