Rally To Restore Sanity – Jon Stewart, the host of ‘The Daily Show’ on Comedy Central, has recently announced that he will lead a rally in Washington on October 30 at the National Mall. Stewart said that his rally would encourage the angry citizens of America to take it down a notch. In his words, Stewart said that the rally is to encourage people to “stop shouting, throwing, and drawing Hitler mustaches on people other than Hitler.”
Although his audience wasn’t sure whether or not to believe him, Stewart kept adamantly proclaiming that it was a real event, and that it was definitely happening. His rally seems to encourage everything that Glenn Beck, the radio host who recently held his own rally at the National Mall, was against. For instance, Stewart encouraged the audience to bring signs stating their own opinions, something that Beck did not allow.
Stephen Colbert, the “rival” of Jon Stewart rushed the stage while he was filming his show and announced that he too was having a rally on the very same day, at the very same place. His rally will be entitled the “March to Keep Fear Alive” and is basically anti-everything Jon Stewart.
