Egg Recall Brands: 2010 Eggs Recall List

Egg Recall Brands: 2010 Eggs Recall List – The egg recall list has been expanded to over 380 million eggs, making this one of the biggest recalls in the history of the United States. The Wright County Egg Salmonella Outbreak has received national coverage after it caused over 35 hospitalizations over the course of the last week. The brands that are included in the recall are located in many states and include Lucerne, Albertsons, Mountain Dairy, Ralph’s, Boomsma, Sunshine, Hillandale, Trafficanda, Farm Fresh, Shoreland, Lund, Dutch Farms, Kemps, James Farms, Glenview and Pacific Coast.

The company has stated that if you have purchased any of the eggs that are named in the recall, you should return them to the store that you purchased them at for a full refund. The recalled eggs are no longer on shelves, but they may still be in your fridge so it is important that you take all of the necessary precautions to ensure that you dispose of them in the proper way.

The FDA has reported that Wright County Egg has been cooperating in full with the investigation and have voluntarily issued the recall. Their entire existing shell inventory will be pasteurized by a breaker, which will kill the salmonella existing in the shell.

Symptoms of salmonella include diarrhea, abdominal cramping, fever and may also be accompanied by headache and chills. The largest concern with the disease is dehydration, as it can be hard to hold down any liquid when you are suffering from the symptoms. Those most at risk are infants and the elderly.
