Tracy Province Second Escaped Arizona Convict Arrested:Casslyn Welch Wanted

Tracy Province Second Escaped Arizona Convict Arrested:Casslyn Welch Wanted – One of two convicts who escaped with the help of an accomplice out of Arizona was captured this morning, after police say he was found walking out of a church in Montana with a loaded gun.

Tracy Province and John McCluskey originally escaped on July 30th from Arizona State Prison, aided by McCluskey’s fiance and cousin, Casslyn Welch.

Welch allegedly passed wire cutters over the medium-security fence, and the three escaped on foot, along with Daniel Renwick, who was caught last week. They then held up a couple of truck drivers, but left them unharmed in their truck at a stop a few hundred miles away.

Province was found outside Meeteetse Community Church after attending a service, and said he was grateful that the manhunt was over. However, he did not know where the other two were.

The trio has already been linked to the murder of an elderly couple by DNA evidence, the bodies of Linda and Gary Haas found badly burned in their trailer. The murder shows that the couple is armed and extremely dangerous, willing to kill to make their escape; they used the couple’s truck for 100 miles before leaving it abandoned.

“They consider themselves as Bonnie and Clyde. This is very, very serious business,” US Marshal David Gonzales said.

McCluskey was serving a 15-year sentence for attempted second degree murder and aggravated assault, as well as the discharge of a firearm.

Province was serving life for a robbery-murder, and Renwick was serving a two 22-year sentences for second degree murder.
