Jan Brewer Arizona Gov. wants Obama to Do His Job

Jan Brewer Arizona Gov. wants Obama to Do His Job – Arizona State has been under a lot of controversy when they decided to pass a bill allowing officers to question anyone who looks like an illegal immigrant. Recently, Arizona has been pushing the government to step up and take things further with immigration reform. Residents of Arizona show strong support of illegal immigration reform. Polls suggest that most Arizona residents supported the bill that was passed for officers as well. It seems like the people living in that area are fed up with the amount of immigration problems that are transpiring in their state, considering they’re right on the border to Mexico.

President Barack Obama delivered a well respected speech on immigration to the nation. Obama has been announcing that he plans to put immigration reform on the top of his presidential agenda, getting reform bills passed before the beginning of next year. However Arizona Governor Jan Brewer is fed up with the political powers in the government and she says that the president needs to “do his job” and secure the borders of the United States.

Brewer is featured in the video standing at a well known place in Arizona which is about 80 miles out from the Arizona and Mexico border. Near her resides a sign that reads, “smuggling and illegal immigration may be encountered in this area.”
Jan Brewer released her own comments about how she feels with the illegal immigration situation. “Two weeks ago I met with President Obama, he promised that we would get word from his administration on what they were going to do to secure the border. Well, we finally got the message, these signs. I’m 80 miles away from the border and only 30 miles away from Arizona’s capital. This is an outrage. Washington says our border is as safe as it’s ever been. Does this look safe to you? Washington is broken, Mr. President, Do your job. Secure our borders.”
