Charice New Album U.S. Debut Release – Charice has garnered a lot of support from some very talented individuals. Her fans include Celine Dion, David Foster, and Oprah Winfrey, who many credit with Charice’s recent success. Although the Filipino 17 year old singer has not yet released an album in the United States, her presence is already felt. Her first single from her debut album is currently at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs chart. She has been preparing for the May 11 release of her U.S. debut, a record that will be released on Foster’s 143 Records imprint at Reprise Records.

The U.S. first was introduced to Charice when she appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show in 2008. She was sought out after producers from the show had seen her covering songs from other artists on YouTube and were highly impressed with her talent. Those videos have now managed to have been watched over 13 million times on the popular video sharing website.

Charice last appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show in 2009, and will be making her next appearance on May 11, the same day that her album will be released in the U.S. She will also be making additional appearances during the day at several retail stores, and a morning appearance on Good Morning America.
“This is my first time finally recording a pop album and to have a pop single with a featured artist,” Charice recently said about her album. “This is so much more different than what I was singing before.”

The album will likely surprise many of her international fans who are more used to her singing traditional songs. The album will feature 12 songs, and will feature a number of different popular artists. Charice will also be turning 18 before her album is released, and she has said that she will be spending the day at New Jersey’s Great Adventure theme park.
