Glenn Beck James Cameron Feud

Glenn Beck made headlines few years ago when he publicly insulted James Cameron. Beck had stated that James Cameron would be “running for Antichrist.” Many have speculated that the comments were made because of past rumors about Cameron’s foul temperament and his work on a document on religion. Rumors have run rampant that Cameron is demanding on the set of his movies, and that he demands perfection from all of his employees. Cameron reacted to the statement made by Beck by saying that Beck was a “f*cking a**hole.” A truly Cameron-esque response.

The two have sparred with words in the past. In 2007 Beck had said that “only pure evil could have directed Titanic.” While that statement did not bring a response from Cameron, it is apparent that the two men are not that fond of each other. It has been reported that the two men had met one time before, while Cameron was sitting in a makeup chair waiting to go on screen. Beck has said that he did not realize that there was bad blood between the two of them and that anything he said was all in fun. Cameron apparently has a differing opinion from that of Beck.

It is unclear if the two have spoken since the incident had taken place. Beck made several statements addressing the situation on his radio show this morning. He has since apologized for what was said, and has said that he hopes the two of them will be able to clear the air. Cameron has not responded to the comments made by Beck since he apologized, and it is unclear if he will in the future.

Beck is still having fun with this whole situation he said on his TV show, this afternoon:

“The best part is, this guy has carried this joke around with him for three long years.” “The guy’s making a billion dollars on a Smurf-murdering movie, and he’s stewing about a joke nobody heard on a network nobody watched! It’s time to walk away from the CGI for a minute, Jim.”

Representatives for both men have not addressed the situation. It is expected that Cameron will comment on the situation in the coming days. It will be interesting to hear his response, and to see how Beck responds.
