Kinect Microsoft Project Natal Release Date – Microsoft’s Project Natal, which has been renamed Kinect, will be launching officially in November. The project has been in development for quite some time, and speculation that the announcement was coming arose after the company filed a number of patents in relation to the product. The sensor will read the skeletal features of the user, and then will detect motion, and control the games on the console using the motion sensor.
Microsoft announced the device officially at the recent E3. They said that the new product would “bring living rooms to life in a social and accessible way.” The highly anticipated technology has been in the works for over a year, but the re branding and release of the technology makes it all that much more exciting.
Fans have been eager to see how the console’s most popular games including Gears of War 3 and Metal Gear Solid Rising will play using the technology.
“Imagine a world where you can watch a movie without a remote, play a game without a controller,” said Microsoft Games corporate vice president Marc Whitten. “Imagine that living room is smarter… Imagine that finding content on your TV is so simple, everyone can do it.”
The company certainly has high hopes for the device. The first demos of the technology looked amazing, and only increased the anticipation among many fans. With so many changes to the way that you can control your game and other media via the device, it will be interesting to see how Kinect is implemented.
Microsoft Kinect Motion Sensor will launch on November 4 2010.
