World Cup 2010 Kick Off:Alicia Keys & Black Eyed Peas

World Cup 2010 Kick Off:Alicia Keys & Black Eyed Peas – It appears as if popular R&B singer Alicia Keys, along with the popular pop band Black Eyed Peas will be the acts to give start to the World Cup. Other acts that will be taking part in the ceremony include John Legend, Shakira and Juanes, a popular Colombian singer. They will kick off the FIFA World Cup, which among the most watched events around the world. Soccer, known as football in everywhere aside from North America, is the most popular sport in the world and often times each individual world cup game will carry an audience that is as large as the audience for the Superbowl, which is considered by many to be the most viewed event in the world year in and year out.

The concert will take place on the 10th of June, and will be at the newly remodeled Orlando Stadium. It is said that the committee who was in charge of choosing all of the acts that are to be featured during the celebration tried to ensure that as many countries had relevant pop stars representing them as possible. In previous years, there had been complaints that too many of the singer were from America, which, typically, is a country that is much less interested in the World Cup than the rest of the world. It is not clear at this time if there will be any additional special guest surprise performers that will be joining the already announced performers at the World Cup opening celebration.

Alicia Keys, the headliner for the event, has made news recently as she went public with her relationship with hip hop producer Swizz Beats. The two have long been rumored to be seeing one another, but just recently made their relationship official among the fans and the public.
